Cian and Nikki’s February wedding at Clonabreany House was an absolute joy to capture.

Winter weddings in Ireland are freeeeeeezing but this day was full of warmth (forgive me). Clonabreany House is a venue I’ve photographed many times, and it always feels special. Cosy atmosphere, elegant interiors, and stunning grounds make it a dream for a wedding photographer. Even in the middle of winter.

The morning prep was full of smiles and laughter. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bride smile so much, it was constant! Nikki’s hair was styled by Upstyle Funk, who kept everyone laughing, while Juliet Morrow worked her magic with makeup.

Precious Petals provided stunning florals that tied everything together beautifully. Their magician Aidan Murphy kept guests entertained and gave Nikki some of the best reactions of the day. Clonabreany being a dog-friendly wedding venue meant Bruno could come and join in for photos 🖤

Cian and Nikki decided on a first look before the ceremony. This meant we could do most of the portraits and family photos in daylight, which is a big advantage for a winter wedding. I t also gave them the freedom to relax during the drinks reception and spend more time with their guests.

The ceremony, led by Bernadette Dolan, was heartfelt, personal, and full of meaning. Later, Blacktye took over for the evening, filling the dance floor with energy. Their bridal party dance-off was one of the highlights and had everyone laughing.
