Hey, I’m Fraser!

I’m a highly experienced, award winning wedding photographer based in Northern Ireland. I’ve been photographing weddings since 2012 and travel all over Ireland doing what I love.

I class myself more as a people person than a photographer. I know how to take great photos, but just as importantly, I know how to interact with people. I can have the craic with your mates, chat away to your granny, help you relax if you’re nervous about having your photo taken, and know when to step back and let things happen naturally.

I love people. I love the relationships between them, the little interactions, the reactions and all the moments that make your wedding yours. The big stuff is great, but it's often the wee moments you didn't even realise were happening that end up meaning the most.

If you book me for your wedding, you will not have a photoshoot. You’ll have a wedding and I’ll document it.

I want you to spend as much time as possible with your guests, actually enjoying the day you’ve spent so long planning. When we do take a wee bit of time for photos, I’ll make sure we use it well. I’ll give you direction when you need it, keep things relaxed and get you back to your guests as quickly as possible.

The rest of the day I’m watching what’s happening all around, anticipating moments before they happen and capturing things as naturally as I can. No copy and paste formula, no unnecessary fuss. Every wedding is different, and I approach each one that way.

Outside of weddings, I’m a proud dad and husband, a music nerd who loves both listening to and making music, a big animal lover (especially my wee cockapoo, Tilly) and always welcome a good Guinness.

If you think I might be a good fit for your wedding, I’d love to hear from you!

A few things about me that you probably don’t need to know:

  • I’m nearly 6ft 5. Despite this, I regularly get told by couples that they barely noticed I was there. I’m choosing to take that as a compliment.

  • The beard gets a lot of attention. I regularly get comments about it at weddings, but all credit goes to my barber. I just grow it.

  • Music is my life. I went to music school at 16 and I have a degree in music. I play a few instruments, although bass guitar is my main instrument.

  • I have a diverse music taste but on a long drive I’ll shuffle my 3000+ liked songs on Spotify and spend the journey skipping songs after the first chorus. My all time favourite bands are Frightened Rabbit and The Twilight Sad (if you like Scottish misery, I recommend them highly).

  • I take my coffee seriously but I forget to drink it. I’ll make myself a lovely cup of freshly ground, good quality coffee, sit it beside me, and then let it go cold. Sometimes the comfort of knowing it’s there is plenty.

  • I used to be a postman and it’s probably the job I would do if I wasn’t a photographer, I loved it!

  • I have a slightly unhealthy appreciation for sarcasm and daft humour. Limmy is my comedy hero. I watch a ridiculous amount of stand up and I can watch the same funny clip on Instagram 30 times and still laugh at it. “Stephen I thought you were deed!” x 1000.

  • I’m not really a film guy. I’ve not seen Lord of the Rings (sorry) and there are plenty of other films I apparently should have watched but haven’t.

  • My TV taste is all over the place. If I could only watch one show for the rest of my life, it would probably be Black Mirror. Atlanta is one of my all time favourites. I’ve watched Breaking Bad about six times. I love Severance, I Think You Should Leave, Pluribus, Master of None and Better Call Saul also.

  • I’ve an impressive Dr. Martens collection and it’s all thanks to Vinted for my addiction.

  • I’m a bit all or nothing. I can go a month without setting foot in the gym, then suddenly decide I’m going several times a week. Same with crisps, I’ll not eat any for ages and then I’ll hoover two large sharing bags of Doritos.

  • I love a city break rather than a beach/pool holiday. My wife and I love wandering around new cities, finding the best food, discovering good beer and cocktails. We’re generally happiest when we’ve nowhere in particular to be.

  • I’m pretty open minded and have a strong sense of justice. I care a lot about people being treated fairly and equally.

  • I pride myself on knowing my place. I like to think I’m good at reading a room, knowing when to get involved, when to have the craic, and when to take a step back and let people get on with things.

  • I’m not obsessive about much, but my approach to wedding photography is on another level. I’ll take thousands of photos at each wedding, and if someone bursts out laughing, I might take 40 frames of that one moment. Afterwards, I’ll go through every single one to find the exact image that captures it best. I put a ridiculous amount of thought into choosing your final photographs, because I want the images you receive to be the ones that honour those in them.

Aaaaaanyway that’s probably enough about me. If you’ve made it this far, we’ll probably get on just fine 🖤
