A few years ago, a friend of mine who had travelled around the world told me that the most interesting place he had ever been to was Iceland.  This sparked a bit of an interest that then grew and grew over the years, so I was well pleased that I was able to experience this beautiful country.

I know the word ‘amazing’ has lost a lot of meaning these days.. but Iceland is amazing.  Over here (Ireland) is beautiful, but Iceland is something else.  Most places we drove, I saw so many epic backdrops with stunning tones and contrasts all within 100 metres of each other.  Genuinely, amazing.

Heather and I were emailing back and fourth over where to do our shoot.  She suggested Kleifarvatn, which is a breathtaking location.    There was much more to explore nearby but the weather was crazy windy, so we didn’t want to push ourselves too far.  Mouths were numb and hands were red raw so we called it to a close fairly soon.  Next time though!

Heather is a free spirit and Jónas is her protector.  They have such a special connection.  I barely gave any instructions, they just had what I needed.
